A FAMILY THAT WORKS TOGETHER...

From Springfield News-Leader—by Ed Peaco
DINING PROFILES: LONDON CALLING PASTY CO.
Purveyors of the pasty, one Brit and one American, have established an outpost in Springfield for the hand-held meat pie associated with Cornish miners.
The merging of this traditional fare and the food truck revolution has produced London Calling, which now operates a Mobile Food Truck, a Take and Bake Kiosk at the Price Cutter on National and Republic Road, and has a Pub location in The Battlefield Mall.
The owners, Carrie Mitchell of Springfield and British-born Neil Gomme, are brother- and sister-in-law. They met when Mitchell's family traveled to Britain to meet Gomme, who later married Mitchell's sister. During that trip, the family met the pasty as well.
